Part 2 of the "Summer Grind." This time we aren't on the court, we're in the weight room. The summer grind isn't just about getting in the gym and working on your skills. It also involves working on your body and make sure it is conditioned to handle the rigors of a strenuous season ahead. A lot of people have heard me say this over the years, and I strongly believe the following statement... "Take care of your body, and your body will take care of you." Thank you. Magnificent Su

This is part 1 of a series of videos designed to give an insight on what a typical summer/offseason day is for me, and many other professional athletes. Over the years I've come in contact with many people who summarily dismiss the idea that for professional athletes, the summer is just as much of a grind as the actual season. Granted it's not the same many ways. You're home, you get to spend quality time with friends, kids, wives, and family in general. You unwind, nurse ailments, hit the refresh button, and many times take trips/go on vacations. However, along with enjoying the time away from the season, the summer is also a time to get better at your craft. So we work on it every day. This is just a little insight as to what that entails. Thank you. Magnificent Su PS...check back soon for the next part of the series. |
