For my sports enthusiasts, by now you’ve probably heard of Eric Thomas the Hip Hop Preacher/Motivational Speaker and all the different speeches he has given all over the country. This post’s sole purpose is to motivate. Several versions of these two speeches can be found all over the internet. However, even though these two essentially say the same thing, they speak to me more because of the basketball references and my ability to identify with them.
WHAT’S YOUR WHY?
In the last couple of weeks I’ve thought deep and hard about this question. I believe I have finally found out what my answer is. I know what moves me. I know why I do what I do. I strongly believe that identifying that purpose has helped me a lot, and changed the way I do things. Not to say I didn’t have a purpose before, because if I didn’t I would not be close to where I am in my life today, but I strongly believe this long thinking process has definitely made me more aware of what motivates me. Now I have a stronger connection to that driving force and I’ll be better for it.
No I’m not going to share what my why is, but what I am hoping to achieve with this post is to inspire readers, through Eric Thomas, to look at their respective lives and find out what their why is. I hope to inspire readers to look within and find out what that driving force is that pushes them to persevere and do what they do. My hope is that the process of finding and then identifying what your why is, is enlightening and has the same similar and POSITIVE effect that it had on me.
